About

At BoyBand Clothing, we’re all about upcycled, sustainable fashion. Our pieces are bold, eclectic, and gender-fluid, designed to challenge conventional fashion.

At BoyBand every piece we create is one-of-a-kind and handcrafted with care. We don’t do mass production or follow standard templates—each item is assembled by skilled Australian ateliers, who put their creativity and expertise into every stitch. Because we work primarily with upcycled materials, no two pieces are ever the same. The variations in fabric, color, and design ensure that each garment is completely unique, carrying its own history and personality.

This approach means you’re not just buying clothing; you’re getting a piece of wearable art. Our ateliers put their heart into reimagining old fabrics into fresh, bold designs that can’t be replicated. When you wear BoyBand, you’re wearing something truly special—handcrafted with intention and made to stand out .

We don’t just follow trends—we lead them. Recycled or deadstock pieces are transformed into innovative designs, our mission is to give you fashion that’s fresh, daring, and never boring. If it’s not slightly odd, it’s not BoyBand. Explore our collection, and you’ll see why we don’t do ordinary .

How it started

The story of BoyBand Clothing is as unusual as the pieces we create. It all started when I was just three years old, living in Hoboken, New Jersey. My family wasn’t wealthy, but our home was filled with music, languages, and the creativity of my mother, who made incredible clothes for all six of us from whatever she could find. Fashion became a part of my life early on, and by the time I was sneaking into New York clubs in the 90s, I was fully immersed in the world of bold, edgy style.

From cage-dancing at Limelight to working with big names like Dolce & Gabbana and YSL, fashion was my life. I embraced upcycling long before it became a trend—everything in my family was worn, shared, and reinvented over and over. Fast forward to the 2015, when I stumbled upon an old flannel shirt and a clean pair of his boy briefs in my Aussie boyfriend’s closet. I thought, why can’t a shirt become pants? That moment sparked the idea for BoyBand.

At first, the world wasn’t quite ready for our brand of strange, but things change. With the rise of sustainable fashion, people started demanding something new that wasn’t new—pieces made from what we already have. Now, BoyBand is all about reimagining fashion, cutting it up, showing some skin, and embracing a style that’s unapologetically different. The universe thinks now is the time, and we’re here to help lead the charge.
